Carol Moretti is the wife of Vincent Moretti and mother of Julie Moretti. When Vincent's brother, her brother-in-law, Gary was murdered by Harvey, Vincent decided to go undercover, causing great concern from Carol

Early life[]

Vincent's cover story claims he and Carol were high school sweethearts. While the start of their relationship is debatable, they are nonetheless married and had tried for years to have a child, but it didn't until Carol realised she was pregnant in their early 40s. Her relationship with Vincent was tested due to his job as a police officer, and her brother-in-law's death, which makes him go undercover during her pregnancy.

Gameplay[]

Carol doesn't visit Vincent during his time in prison, and when he calls her, she voices her concerns before hanging up on him. Later, when looking at a newspaper of Vincent and Leo's photos on the front page, she goes into labour and calls for an ambulance, later giving birth to Julie. She doesn't seem surprised when Vincent (accompanied by Leo) shows up at the hospital, rather disappointed at him. She lets him hold the baby. They talk about the state of their relationship, Vincent's job, and Julie, before the cops show up and she tells him to leave.

Ending[]

If Vincent is killed, Leo intends on delivering the letter Vincent wrote her on the plane-ride back to the United States, He considers leaving before he can give it to her, scared of her reaction, but instead places it on her doorstep, rings the doorbell, and flees the scene. As he leaves, Carol, holding her baby daughter, finds the letter and sobs as she reads it. She later attends Vincent's funeral, where she receives the burial flag as the police chief consoles her.

If Leo is killed, Vincent shows up at her doorstep and hands her a piece of paper which we are led to think is the letter he wrote to her, but he reveals to be his resignation. He tells her he's done with the force, and she tells him that she named their daughter Julie, which he remarks that it is a good name before she invites him in. This presumably leads to a reconciliation between the two of them.
